Little Sponges respects kids’ intellect and learning capability. The program doesn’t speak “down” to young students. It demonstrates high expectations. Initially, instructors were reluctant users due to the program’s challenging vocabulary and concepts. They have been pleasantly surprised. In the lower grade levels, I use it whole group, we play the games and review the vocabulary. As they get older, I incorporate whole group lessons and then they are able to break out into smaller groups or individually and explore the different activities within the adventures or even go on to the next adventure.
