Use these questions to assess your students’ proficiency level for this learning module.  Ask the questions in the target language and encourage your students to respond verbally or in writing depending on their age and skill level.

  3. Where else did we see many trees? Did we see trees in the Jungle or in the Ocean?
  4. How is Mishka similar or different than the bear they saw in the forest?
  5. How is Frog similar or different than the frog they saw in the forest?

  7. What kind of food grows in the forest?
  8. What is your favorite food?
  9. What animals did you see in the forest video?
  10. How many wolves were there?
  11. Can you describe different forest animals using size, color, and other characteristics? What do they eat?
  12. What sounds do we hear in the forest? What makes these sounds?
  13. What types of birds live in the forest? Can you name and describe them?
  14. What insects did you see in the forest? Can you name at least 5 insects?
  15. What do spiders make?
  16. What did the spider eat in the video?
  17. Can you point up and down?
  18. What is your favorite animal? What is your favorite bird? What is your favorite insect?
  19. Can you draw your favorite animal/bird/insect?
  20. What is the difference between “few” vs. “many”? Are there few or many mushrooms/berries/dragonflies/etc?
